As the business grew, so did the complexity of its internal operations — from quoting and customer management to compliance reporting, invoicing, and scheduling. Off-the-shelf systems couldn’t offer the customisation or integration S2S needed to support its unique workflows. To overcome this, S2S partnered with 6B to design and deliver a fully bespoke software platform tailored to its entire service lifecycle.

The Need

S2S was managing a wide array of business processes across disconnected systems — spreadsheets, manual input tools, and outdated legacy software. This approach made it difficult to maintain oversight, introduced duplication, and slowed down everything from quoting to dispatch.

The business needed a single, unified solution that could manage customer relationships, create and track quotes and invoices, assign cases, schedule site visits, handle tickets, and provide real-time visibility across departments. The Solution

6B designed and built a bespoke web-based business management platform using modern PHP and a modular architecture, giving S2S full control over its operational workflows in a single, secure environment. The system was developed to support multiple departments and user roles, with access permissions tailored to each function — from sales and customer service to logistics, compliance, and finance.

The platform includes full CRM functionality, allowing the S2S team to manage customer records, track communication, and link contacts to ongoing projects. From there, users can generate quotes and invoices, assign work orders, and track case progress with status updates and documentation. A ticketing system was integrated to support both internal issue tracking and external customer support, ensuring fast response times and full transparency.

Scheduling and resource allocation were also core features. The system includes a calendar-based job scheduler, allowing teams to assign engineers, vehicles, or service appointments in real time, reducing admin overhead and improving route planning. Automated notifications and reminders help reduce missed appointments and delays.

The platform also supports compliance tracking and reporting, ensuring all processes — especially those involving secure data handling — follow predefined protocols and maintain audit trails. All data is securely stored and encrypted, with full GDPR and ISO27001 alignment.

Developed using clean, extensible PHP, the system is designed to evolve. Future integrations with third-party logistics, finance, or asset tracking systems are fully supported through a flexible API layer.
